2008 Palmetto Biotechnology Alliance Conference:
"Biotechnology: Addressing the World's Problems Today"
As the biotechnology industry continues to develop, new trends are emerging in alternative energy, bio-agriculture, and nutraceuticals. These up-and-coming sectors are joining already established pharmaceutical and medical research initiatives within the life science sector. The promise of these emerging areas matches very closely with industries that have historically been successful in South Carolina. As the Palmetto State continues to develop technologies, we are uniquely positioned to join in the research and economic growth of these emerging sectors that are addressing international issues.
The conference will be held in Charleston, SC on September 18 and 19.
